Norton Welcomes Prolific Scorer Sophie Curle

We are excited to welcome 19-year-old forward Sophie Curle to Norton. Curle has been with the squad during pre-season and has wasted no time making her mark in pre-season, scoring 8 goals in just 2 games.

Sophie’s is no stranger to Norton, having played for our Under 15s and Under 16s teams. At the end of her junior football, Curle moved on beginning her senior football journey elsewhere. After spells in both Tiers 5 and 6, she now returns to Norton ready to take her game to new heights.

With an outstanding record of 44 goals in 24 appearances for South Shields and Ponteland last season, Sophie’s goal-scoring ability and keen eye for goal is undeniable.

In addition to her club football, Sophie is a proud graduate of Park View Academy of Sport and currently represents Northumbria University’s women’s football team, balancing her studies and her passion for the game
