Ella Place signs
It’s a third signing in three days as we are able to announce the signing of another player who started her footballing journey on the fields of Station Road. We are thrilled to announce the signing of 16 year old Ella Place.
The youngster, who turns 16 today, rejoins the side where it all started. Ella played junior football for Norton and again joined the U7s with fellow signing Anna McArthur. Place spent 3 years in the junior set up at Norton before making the move to Teesside RTC. She spent 5 years at the RTC playing all the way up to U16s, playing a year up, before moving to Thornaby FC for her final season at U16s.
Outside of club football, Ella, has represented both Stockton Schools District side and Cleveland Schools FA County side playing at both U14 and U16 for the county for 4 years. During her involvement in the Cleveland Schools set up she made it to the final 64 players battling for a place in the England Schools U15 Girls squad. The talented teenager has also been involved in a number of England Talent ID events during her junior footballing journey, with her latest one coming at Warwick University in May this year.
Ella has impressed during preseason and spent her birthday today as part of an U18s squad who took home the title at the Billingham Synthonia Girls tournament. We are elated to capture the signing of Ella, a versatile player who is excellent on the ball in centre midfield and can play at full back, and look forward to seeing Ella progress in her game at senior level.
