Junior talent returns

We are pleased to announce our second signing as Anna McArthur rejoins the club where she started her footballing journey.

Anna joined the junior set up at Norton aged 7 when she was spotted by vice captain Vicki Burton playing football in Sports Direct and was desperate to find a girls team to join. As a 7 year old, McArthur played for Norton U8s in the RFYL Premier in which the team were crowned champions. During her time at Norton she played a year up for the U12s and achieved the top goal scorer in the RFYL and the player of the tournament at the Flamingo Land Tournament.

At U13s, Anna moved to Stockton Town where she spent two seasons at the club before making the move to Teesside RTC in 2020 as an U14. Anna spent the rest of her youth career at the Regional Talent Centre playing for both the U14s and U16s. She started as an attacking midfielder before progressing to a winger in the older age group. It was in the U16s when the side faced the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers and finished the Northern Division as unbeaten champions.

Anna has had an impressive preseason, as the talented up and coming youngster was part of our Skem winning side. We are delighted that Anna has returned to Norton to start her journey in senior football.
