Welcoming Sophie Dacombe: Rising Talent and Team GB Prospect

It's our pleasure to announce the signing of Sophie Dacombe, a gifted young player who has consistently showcased exceptional dedication both on and off the field.

She began her football journey in 2015 with Leven AFC Under 9s and in 2020 made her mark on the side by helping the team secure the North Riding County Cup. Her progress continued and in 2022  she joined Teesside RTC, showcasing her abilities at a higher level.

Last season, she played for Stockton Town U16s, Stockton Town Ladies, and Teesside ETC. She was instrumental in Stockton Town U16s' victory in the Durham County Cup. In addition to her club achievements, she has played representative football for Stockton District Schools FA and Cleveland County Schools FA, earning recognition for her talent and hard work.

Her impressive journey took a significant step forward last year when she represented England Deaf Ladies Football at just 15 years old in a friendly match. Although she was too young to travel to the World Cup, her potential was evident. Currently, she is part of the GB Deaf Football Squad, gearing up for the upcoming qualifiers with the hope of securing a spot in the Deaflympics in Japan in 2025.

Please join us in welcoming her to the club. We are excited to support her continued growth and success on and off the field!
